Thursday, May 28, 2009

The Neepawa Natives Junior A Hockey Club is pleased to announce the hiring of Bryant Perrier as the team’s new Head Coach and General Manager.

Perrier has signed a two-year contract for 2009/10 and 2010/11. Bryant brings to the Natives more than 12 years of head coaching experience at the Junior A and Junior B levels. Perrier has over 350 wins as a head coach and general manager in the BCHL.

Perrier played junior hockey in the BCHL for the Langley Eagles, played four seasons of NCAA Division 1 hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and had several seasons playing professional hockey in the ECHL, the IHL and in Europe.

“We’re very excited about having an individual with Bryant’s hockey credentials onboard as we celebrate our 20th anniversary of delivering entertaining hockey to the community of Neepawa and its surrounding area,” says Neepawa Native’s President Dave Clark.

“After coaching in the BCHL for many years, it’s a great opportunity for me to head east and coach in the MJHL,” Perrier says. “I’m looking forward to helping the Neepawa Natives achieve their one-ice and off-ice goals and bringing the Hockey Club to a level of significance in the league.”

Perrier assumes his new role in Neepawa June 1.
