MJHL postpones Tuesday's game at Wayway

Monday, November 16, 2009

A number of Waywayseecappo Wolverines remain ill with severe, flu-like symptoms, forcing the postponement of their game Tuesday night against Portage Terriers.

Wayway’s GM/Head Coach Barry Butler admitted he’s never seen anything like this in his many years of coaching. He says his players are extremely ill and unable to play.

Butler explained he’s monitoring the situation closely and hopes everyone’s health improves over the next few days. At this point, there has been no confirmation that any of the players have H1N1.

In the meantime, MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis explained the league continues to receive daily medical updates from all 11 member teams.

“The safety and health of our players and supporting staff is our priority,” said Davis.
