MJHL Players of the Month | February 2025

February 2025  |  The Manitoba Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the monthly players awards supported by RBC, SAFE Work Manitoba, Original 16, Chevrolet and Manitoba Pork:

RBC PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Connor Paronuzzi (’05) Steinbach Pistons
10GP | 9G | 16A | 25PTS

Running away with the MJHL’s point scoring race, Connor Paronuzzi put on a show in the month of February, scoring nearly a goal per game while adding a whopping 16 helpers. Paronuzzi’s 2.5 points-per-game pace in February gives him a 25 point advantage on the leader board heading into the month of March.

SAFE WORK MANITOBA DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Isaiah Peters (’04) Winkler Flyers
12GP | 6G | 13A | 19PTS

Peters becomes the third Flyer to take home defenseman of the month honours this season after an outstanding performance in February. Peters posted five, multi-point outings in the month, including a big 7-point game against the Oil Capitals. The veteran defenseman is tied for the point scoring lead amongst all defenders and sits in the top 15 of the league.

ORIGINAL 16 GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Mariko Bercier (’06) Waywayseecappo Wolverines
9GP | 6W | 2.22GAA | .935SV% | 1SO

The rookie puck stopper put together his best stretch of hockey for the Wolverines when it mattered most as the club holds onto the final playoff spot in the MGEU West Division. Bercier averaged 34 shots against per-game in February and won four of those contests stopping 30 plus shots including a 32 save shutout against Virden.

CHEVROLET ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Remy Hlady (’07) Selkirk Steelers
10GP | 8G | 4A | 12PTS

The University of Alaska Anchorage D1 commit enjoyed a strong month up front for the Steelers scoring nearly a goal-per-game while adding 4 helpers. Hlady notched a pair of game winners for the Steelers in February and now sits second in rookie scoring in the MJHL after his strong showing in the month.

MANITOBA PORK PEAK PERFOMER
Caden Hegarty (’05) Neepawa Titans
10GP | 8G | 9A | 17PTS

Hegerty exploded in February to put together a big month for the surging Titans. In just 10 games, Hegerty posted five, multi-point outings, which including a trio of 3-point games to help Neepawa to a 6-4 record. The driving force for the Titans has helped his club to 3rd place in the MGEU West Division with 6 games to play in the regular season.
