The 20-year-old led the Nighthawks to a 5-3 win on New Years Eve against the Freeze where he scored a hat-trick. Paulhus leads the Nighthawks in scoring and currently sits 8th in the MJHL with 17 goals and 20 assists in 31 games.
Bailey Monteith (G/’02) – Portage Terriers – 1W | 1.00GAA | .962SV%
In his lone appearance of the week, Monteith back-stopped the Terriers to a 3-1 win over their MGEU East Division rival Winkler Flyers, where he turned aside 25 of 26 shots. Monteith is 2nd in the MJHL with 11 wins and 8th in goals against average (2.76).
Mike Svenson (FWD/’03) – Winkler Flyers – 2GP | 2G | 1A | 3PTS
Svenson added singles in a pair of Flyers’ losses and has been one of the Flyers most consistent contributors on offense. The 19-year-old is tied for the Flyers scoring lead and sits among the top 20 in MJHL scoring.
