Mitchell Kathler (G/’06) – Portage Terriers – 1GP | 0.00GAA | 1.000SV% | 1SO

The rookie goaltender continued to shine in the Terriers crease last week, helping lead Portage to a 45-save shutout performance over the Pistons. Kathler, who sits in the top five of all major goaltending categories in the MJHL, has the Terriers within two points of tying Steinbach for 2nd place in the MGEU East Division.

Brody Beauchemin  (FWD/’04) – Winkler Flyers – 2GP | 3G | 5A | 8PTS

Helping lead Winkler to a league high 12-game win streak, Beauchemin had a monster week for the high-flying orange and black. Beauchemin scored a pair of short-handed markers to go along with the game winner and two assists on a five point evening against the Wolverines. To cap off the week, Beauchemin notched 3 assists which included a helper on the game tying goal and the winner. The Flyers head into the week leading the MJHL standings.

Cole Sheffield (G/’04) – Dauphin Kings – 2GP | 2W | 1.50GAA | 0.951SV% | 1 Assist

Another goaltender who sits in the top five of all major stat categories is none other than Kings veteran, Cole Sheffield. In a comeback win over the Stampeders, Sheffield turned aside 33 of 35 shots to help secure the win for Dauphin. A couple nights later, Sheffield made 25 saves and added an assist on Gabriel Bugeaud’s powerplay marker. The Kings continue to hold the top spot in the MGEU West Division with a four point lead and two games in hand.
