Waywayseecappo Wolverines defenseman, Lucas Perry, was recognized on Tuesday night as the Wolverines RBC Community Ambassador.

Perry has displayed outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship both on and off the ice and a commitment to volunteerism. RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to their communities where they play.

“It’s an honour to represent the team as Community Ambassador,” Perry explained. “It’s been really cool to see the positive impact we have on the community while being a part of it, and staying involved helps us build connections with people that support us on and off the ice.”

Like Perry, each Ambassador is recognized at their RBC Game Night and will be honoured by a donation from RBC to a school in their local community.

“I think the Waywayseecappo School would be well deserving of the donation,” Perry concluded.

At the conclusion of the regular season, one RBC – MJHL Community Ambassador will be named as the recipient of the RBC Community Award, which comes with a further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.
