WINNIPEG, MB – The Neepawa Titans were the lone road team to earn a victory on opening night of the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Playoffs while the Flyers, Kings, and Pistons held serve on home ice.
Titans 3 Blizzard 2 | Titans lead best-of-seven series 1-0
Colton Alexander scored the game winning goal while Mason Lobreau stood tall in the Titans crease, stopping 42 of 44 shots in a 3-2 win over the Northern Manitoba Blizzard in The Pas.

Kam Thomas scored the game winning goal at 13:36 of the third period while Liam Ernst made 14 saves in a 1-0 shutout win against the Niverville Nighthawks. Austin Dubinsky was outstanding in the Nighthawks crease, making 37 saves in the close loss.

Kings 4 Wolverines 1 | Kings lead best-of-seven series 1-0
The Dauphin Kings scored four unanswered goals on their way to a 4-1 victory on home ice over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Friday night at Credit Union Place. Gavin Nemis and Sheldon Shyiak scored 1:24 apart in the early stages of the third that would propel the Kings to a win.

Pistons 3 Terriers 1 | Pistons lead best-of-seven series 1-0
Connor Paronuzzi and Ty Paisley scored goals 1:17 apart early in the third period while Paronuzzi would add an empty netter to give the Pistons a 3-1 win over the Terriers in front of 2304 fans inside the brand new Southeast Event Centre. Of note, Terriers goaltender Mitchell Kathler was strong in net, stopping 33 of 35 in a game that the Terriers led.
