1st – Steinbach Pistons (+1)
Last week: 3-0
Overall: 17-2-1
Now the owners of the longest winning streak in the MJHL. Difficult to say which area of their game has been most impressive, goal scoring, defense or goaltending.
Key Player: Jamie Fuchs – 5 goals, 5 assists in 3 games

2nd – Portage Terriers (-1)
Last week: 2-1
Overall: 16-6
The winning streak may have been snapped but despite being down several times in the game, they clawed back. Great bounce back the next night. The group was challenged to respond, and they passed.
Key Player: Koy Funk – 3 assists in 2 games

3rd – Winkler Flyers (-)
Last week: 1-0
Overall: 14-6
Won’t be happy letting a lead slip away but good teams find a way to get that extra point when things don’t look the prettiest. Saturday night vs the Pistons will be must-watch as the two clubs meet in a Turnbull Cup Final rematch.
Key Player: Brody Beauchemin – 1 goal, 1 assist in 1 game

4th – Dauphin Kings (-)
Last week: 2-1
Overall: 15-5-1
More positives over a three-game stretch, keeping them right at the top of the division. A heavy weight, playoff style game awaits on Saturday, expect the group to rise to the challenge.
Key Player: Matthew Haun – 1 goal, 3 assists in 3 games

5th – Northern Manitoba Blizzard (+1)
Last week: 2-1
Overall: 15-6-0-1
Busted the streak of the hottest team in the league and looked very solid doing so. Very comfortable playing grind it out style hockey and have the offensive players that seem to love the big moments for goals.
Key Player: Marlen Edwards – 3 goals, 1 assist in 3 games

6th – Neepawa Titans (+2)
Last week: 2-1
Overall: 11-9-1-1
Back-to-back very strong performances with timely goals and a bit of puck luck, but it’s earned through hard work. Still finding their way to bring it every night but they’re close to doing it than not.
Key Player: Carter McLeod – 3 goals, 2 assists in 3 games
Up Next: Nov. 20th @ Swan Valley, Nov. 23rd vs Norman, Nov. 24th vs WPG Freeze

7th – Niverville Nighthawks (-2)
Last week: 0-1-1
Overall: 12-8-1
Showed guts coming back and deserved better in their OT loss. Scoring issues are not as dire as before. The group is discovering how they need to handle their business and find wins. Big game looming in one week.
Key Player: Bryce Warkentine – 2 goals in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 20th vs Portage, Nov. 22nd vs Steinbach, Nov. 27th vs Selkirk

8th – Selkirk Steelers (-1)
Last week: 1-1
Overall: 13-7-0-1
Continuing to bank points while believing their best hockey is yet to come. Very comfortable playing wide open, wild hockey. Learning to grind out victories come with experience and health.
Key Player: Landon Jamison – 1 goal, 2 assists in 2 games

9th – Virden Oil Capitals (+1)
Last week: 2-0
Overall: 9-12
Pulling themselves closer to that .500 mark. Pretty impressive offensive output with 16 goals in their last two games. A chance to keep the good times rolling with a pair of winnable games upcoming.
Key Player: Noel Englot – 5 goals, 2 assists in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 22nd vs WPG Blues, Nov. 27th @ WPG Freeze

10th – Waywayseecappo Wolverines (+2)
Last week: 1-2
Overall: 6-12
A tough schedule will eat into games in hand. Get points by any means necessary. Having the games at home will help as the group uses their ice service to their advantage and can counter-strike with the best.
Key Player: Brock Behrend – 2 goals, 1 assist in 3 games
Up Next: Nov. 21st vs Dauphin, Nov. 22nd vs Norman, Nov. 26th vs Winkler

11th – Winnipeg Freeze (+2)
Last week: 0-2
Overall: 1-14-1-2
Get elevated more so because other teams around them have been worse. Same issues they’ve had all year, get a lead or keep a game close but run out of power.
Key Player: Declan Whiteman – 1 goal in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 23rd @ WPG Blues, Nov. 24th @ Neepawa, Nov. 27th vs Virden

12th – Winnipeg Blues (-3)
Last week: 0-2
Overall: 3-16-1-1
Can’t score, can’t win. Young and learning on the job can be hard, especially against bigger, stronger teams. Hard lessons but if the group can stick together, they might be able to find a few positives.
Key Player: William Marceus – 1 goal in 3 games
Up Next: Nov. 22nd @ Virden, Nov. 23rd vs WPG Freeze

13th – Swan Valley Stampeders (-2)
Last week: 0-3
Overall: 2-16-2-1
The group as a whole has shown flashes of getting better, but still the losses pile up. Never cheat the effort and make sure teams earn what they get. Doesn’t make some nights any shorter.
Key Player: Will Brown – 1 goal, 3 assists in 3 games
